Swissotel Le Plaza Basel Hotel

Remained here for two evenings pre Rhine stream journey and would certainly suggest it. The amazing area inside strolling remove of the waterway which appears to be exceptionally much the middle of everything but moreover as it were three (free) cable car stops in case you're feeling less enthusiastic. Extraordinary staff who prescribed some of the great eateries to us as well as giving travel and discount cards to us which was a pleasant astonish because it was our, to begin with, the visit to Basel. Cable car line fair over the street and Bounce on Jump off traveler transport adjacent to lodging which was exceptionally helpful. Fabulous breakfast, as it was lost on tap bubbly which ideally will be managed with some time recently our another visit' Something else everything beautiful and I would profoundly prescribe, especially for the neighborliness of its staff.

The hotel is easily accessible by bus #2 from Basel train station, we stayed here before starting our river cruise tour Rooms are larger compared to other European hotels. Breakfast has many options, on the better side of hotel breakfast. Modern, new feel. Air conditioning worked very well in the summer We had dinner at Volkshaus recommended by the hotel. Lovely dinner place with beautiful seating both inside and outside garden. The Hotel is centrally located to street car system (free). Staff is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, This is just a great place to stay. I would stay there again.

There was a lounge area with a big sofa and armchair. There was a desk area with coffee machine and kettle. A coffee table and telephone, large screen TV with various multimedia playing equipment connected. In the adjoining bedroom through the archway, there was a very large desk with another telephone, a table with a second (even larger) TV, and a bed of triple size with 3 large pillows. Like the Swissôtel at Zürich, there was an extensive choice of available pillows with their various properties described on a card. The bathroom had a bidet and a third telephone. The LED light around the magnifying mirror was permanently lit. The rest of the lighting provision and sockets, charging facilities, were extensive. I used the sauna on the lower ground floor. There was a very large fitness suite, a drinks table, relaxation room with 3 recliners (entered from both the fitness room and the sauna area). At the entrance to the sauna area, there was a pile of towels, bathrobes, and slippers (though these were also provided in the room so it was easy to prepare for the sauna before going to the basement). There were separate ladies’ and gents’ locker rooms with wristband keys, showers, washbasin, hairdryer, and toiletries.
