The Hotel Bel Ami has a fantastic location on a small street right around the corner from the St Germain-de-Pres church and the famous Deux Magots cafe. It's a 'design hotel' with black and bright green color scheme, funky furniture in its lobby bar, and an emphasis on sleek. They burn aromatherapy candles throughout the day in their lobby, so if you have a sensitive nose, beware. The smell drove me crazy, but it didn't bother at all. The concierge helped us make restaurant reservations via email in advance of our stay, and he even modified one of our reservations to get us into a 'better' restaurant at the last minute, when another of the hotel's guests had to cancel. Our room at the Bel Ami was super-comfortable, very spacious and quiet since the hotel was on a side street across from a school. The bathroom was big and modern. We liked the shower, although the curb-less design and swing-out door meant a fair degree of water splashed out on the bathroom floor. There was a towel warmer on the wall and one of the highest-quality blow dryers I've ever found in a hotel. I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you so much.
