Blend the wonderful touches of luxury and attentiveness that typify the Four Seasons brand with a wild and wonderful setting where 3 south-east Asian countries meet and with an opportunity to interact at really close quarters with elephants rescued from poor treatment and now properly cared for, and you have the Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle. The Camp is spread over about 1 km bordering the Ruak River with the restaurant and reception at one end and the Burma Bar at the other, joined by a path built into the hillside with the 'tents' spread along the path. Around half way there is a bridge over a ravine and another path that leads inland to the spa. The tents are extremely comfortable with AC and heating if required, the food is excellent as is the spa, and the service is right up there with the very best Four Seasons has to offer. Add in the wonderful scenery and peaceful environment and you have the place in a nutshell. But there's more. The mahout training is an experience not to be missed, although it's not for the faint heart and it is quite strenuous. There's much more that could be said about this but it's better for you to enjoy it all without preconceptions. A wonderfully operated resort and an experience not to be missed if your visiting this part of the world.
