My family had a fantastic stay at this hotel in December 2016. We were welcomed and garlanded in Marigolds and paraded to our rooms in the traditional welcoming ceremony. The hotel made us feel very special - almost like royalty - slightly embarrassing since we are the stereotypical reserved British! We definitely won't forget this hotel! The staff were courteous, well mannered and very attentive, the rooms were very well-appointed and everything was spotless. The bathrooms were stunning - you can sit in the bath, watch TV and drink champagne... Our suite had several museum exhibits in glass cabinets and wonderful examples of Indian artwork on every wall. The food was excellent and there was even a nightly cabaret. The children enjoyed the local minstrels and the puppet show - almost like Wee Willie Winkie-esque from Midnight's Children! The gym needed some modern equipment but was charming (picture an Edwardian gym) and the pool could have been heated. The spa was always booked so must have been very good! I highly recommend this hotel.
